Caritas Macau will celebrate its 70th anniversary on December 8th with a Solemn Mass at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady. The celebration will be presided over by Bishop Stephen Lee Bun-sang and stands as an opportunity to thank God for the work done by the organization on behalf of the most disadvantaged, Paul Pun told O CLARIM.
May the “Year of Saint Joseph,” which ends on coming December 8, not “end,” but serve as an impetus for greater devotion and experience of the Catholic faith on the part of the faithful together with such a high saint, the earthly father of Jesus. If the child God and his Mother, by Divine Will, lived under the care and protection of St Joseph, so let us also seek greater intimacy with him in our lives. May St Joseph grant us this grace, for our journey in faith under his care, for his Glory and Glory of the Holy Church and God the Father.

Coro Perosi held a concert on 7th November at the St Dominic’s Church. The Macau Cardinal Newman Centre of Cultural and Performance Arts will celebrate its first anniversary on December 4th, with a Winter-themed recital, the last concert of the Four Season series. The show will take place outside the premises of the cultural centre, on Calçada da Vitória. Young musicians will perform jazz, Chinese traditional music and hits from as far away as Portugal.
The Society of Jesus will organize a workshop on December 11th on the teachings of Laudato Si’. Aimed at lay people, the seminar is an invitation to better understand the apostolic exhortation with which Pope Francis seeks to inspire and mobilize Catholics worldwide to take care of our Common Home and achieve climatic and ecological justice.
