Devotees observe Macau’s 23rd Peñafrancia Festival

Members of the Peñafrancia Devotees Association in Macau (PDAM) gathered every night from the 10th to 18th at Saint Augustine Church in Macau for the traditional novenas to the Divino Rostro (The Holy Face of Jesus) and to the Our Lady of Peñafrancia, carefully observing government restrictions on mass gatherings. At 11 AM on 19th September, around 300 parishioners attended the Thanksgiving Mass for the Peñafrancia Festival.

Ricci Institute discusses Corporate Social Responsibility in the Greater Bay Area

The future of Macau is increasingly interconnected with the development of the Greater Bay area, but the process of the SAR regional integration is not without risks. Questions such as business ethics in a thriving space – one that promises great opportunities – are seen by the Macau Ricci Institute as something to worry about. The Jesuit think tank is dedicating one of its upcoming events to the issue of disseminating better Corporate Social Responsibility practices in the Greater Bay Area region.

The University of Saint Joseph is celebrating its 25th anniversary and it was rewarded by the Central Government with a long awaited accolade. The higher education institution was authorized by the Chinese Education Ministry to recruit Mainland students, albeit on a trial basis. The University will be able to enroll students from the People’s Republic of China in postgraduate programs in Architecture, Business Administration, Information Systems and Science, Stephan Morgan announced earlier this week.
