In the parish of Saint Lawrence, involving the younger generations in the liturgical life of the local Catholic communion has proved to be a challenge. Born in South Korea and facing the conundrum, Father James Ryu Jae Hyoung wants to better understand what worries and motivates young people in the parish. Nevertheless, there is hope: twenty children will celebrate their First Communion on June 19th.

The University of Saint Joseph has recently been enriched with a donation of more than 25,000 tomes that will serve to reinforce the newly refurbished library at the Faculty of Religious Studies and Philosophy and help transform the institution into one of the largest centers of religious studies in East Asia.

New Master of Catholic Studies program aims to be an academic attraction

Despite still being under internal scrutiny, the University of Saint Joseph’s master’s degree in Catholic Studies is set to be offered starting from the fall of 2023. The University’s open day attracted about 70 people from different backgrounds and gave them access to information about the new master’s program.
