Last weekend, 20 people participated in a silent retreat under the guidance of Father Daniel Ribeiro at the Diocesan Retreat House in Coloane. More than just engaging in a period of spiritual reflection, the retreat provided participants with an opportunity for a personal encounter with God.

Long-term spiritual retreats are increasingly sought after by local Catholics, leading the Macau Diocesan Retreat House to welcome three to five retreatants every month, in order to support those who intend to deepen their faith through silence and solitude.

The Cathedral parish will once again organize a spiritual retreat as well as initiatives to help the younger generations better understand the mystery of the Resurrection during this Lenten season of prayer and spiritual enlightenment.
