Interreligious Gathering

Representatives of the Macau Taoist Association, the Bahai Community, Buddhist Association of Macau, the Sheng Kung Hui Macau, the Macao Catholic Culture Association held a gathering at the Centro De Cultura e Artes Performativas Cardeal Newman De Macau on 22nd January to discuss and follow up the work of the Concert Organized by the Five Religions and discussed future cooperation.

USJ signs agreements with Guangdong universities

The University of Saint Joseph is a step closer to fulfilling its aim to demonstrate that it is “a university in, of and for Macau” and “in, of and for China”. The Catholic-run University announced recently that it has signed exchange agreements with two higher education institutions from the neighbouring province of Guangdong. 

Prayer service brings together Christians communities

The Prayer Service for Christian Unity, that usually brings together the different Christian denominations of Macau, will take place this Saturday, but it will be conducted in a virtual format only. The decision was made by the organizers early in the week, following the aggravation of the epidemic in several cities of the neighbouring province of Guangdong.

Ricci Institute to explore the path to spiritual transformation

The Society of Jesus is celebrating, until July 31st, the 500th anniversary of a personal transformation that changed the history of the Church. The example set by Saint Ignatius of Loyola will inspire, to a large extent, the activities that the Macau Ricci Institute intends to promote throughout the current year. The first activity – an online forum on “spiritual transformation” – takes place next Monday.
