The parish of St Lazarus celebrated the feast of Saint Roch (S Roque), patron saint against pestilence, on Sunday, July 8 with a Mass at 9:30 AM presided by Most Reverend Stephen Lee, Bishop of Macau. Bishop Lee also led the faithful in procession after the Mass. Although the universal Church celebrates the feast in August, Macau celebrates it in July because of a special favor granted by the saint’s intercession on this month many years back.
