To celebrate the 110th anniversary of the founding of the school, the Escola Dom João Paulino held the 110 Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on 25 January 2022. It was officiated by Bishop Lee Bun-Sang and parish priest Fr. Domingos Un. To comply with the Government’s epidemic prevention measures, only the School Management Committee Members, staff, P5 and P6 students and alumni representatives were invited to attend the Thanksgiving Mass.
It was also the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul.
In his homily, Bishop Lee said that Jesus was involved in the conversion of the saints, which changed the life of Paul. We should learn from St. Paul, to follow Jesus courageously, accepting and doing with joy the mission God has given us.
Bishop Lee reviewed the school history and said the school was established by the Canossian Sisters, and had experienced many changes in these 110 years. All teachers and students are part of the history, but the history of the school also included the intervention of God.
