The Comissão Organizadora do Encontro das Comunidades Macaense “Macau 2019” paid a courtesy visit on the 4th of June to the Paço Episcopal to exchange the latest program on their upcoming Macanese gathering, which will be taking place from 23rd to 29th of November, 2019.
During the meeting, José Luis de Sales Marques, President of the organizing committee, explained that this will be a 3-year reunion for the Casa de Macau across the world to promote Macanese cuisines. Major events include a cultural section and conference on gastronomy at the Macau Science Center; a cooking contest, from which the participants are selected among the international communities. A travel opportunity to the Greater China among the Greater Bay Area (GBA) cities will also be provided for guests throughout the world.
The thanksgiving Mass for this occasion will be set at 6pm at the Cathedral, 26th of November.
Dom Stephen Lee praised the organizer for providing such a great opportunity to promote Macanese culture, which can strengthen the family and cultural ties of all participants. Macau should, and will always be, the cultural hub to facilitate culture as well as to serve as the home of all Casa de Macau communities.
