2018 World Mission Sunday

On Sunday, 21 October, we celebrate World Mission Sunday.

  1. In his message for this day, Pope Francis invites the whole Church to reflect on the mission that we have received from Christ. The theme for this year is: «Together with young people, let us bring the Gospel to all ». The full text of the Message can be found at:

  1. The Mass “For the Evangelization of the Peoples” (in the Roman Missal) can be used with its proper prayers. The readings are the ones from the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
  2. At all Masses the collection will be reserved for the Pontifical Work for the Propagation of the Faith and will be sent to the Holy See as a contribution of our Local Church to the missionary activities of the Universal Church.
  3. An evening Prayer meeting will take place on October 20 (Saturday), at 8:00 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church (Iao Hon). Each one of us is called to reflect on this fact: “I am a mission on this Earth; that is the reason why I am here in this world”.
