Cardinal Newman Center presents screening of Souls

In celebration of 2021 World Day of Social Communications, the Associação Diocesana das Artes Performativas e Culturais de Macau (ADAPEC), the Centro Diocesano dos Meios de Comunicação Social (CDMCS) and the Centro de Cultura e Artes Performativas Cardeal Newman de Macau (CCCN Macau) organized a screening of Souls at Cineteatro Macau on 16th May 2021.

CCCN Macau invited Mr. Anthony Leung, Family Therapist and Registered Professional Engineer (Hong Kong), to hold a sharing session after the screening. In the sharing, Mr Leung discussed the main characters’ spiritual and earthy life from the perspective of the Catechism, family system, and relationship theory. Mr Leung guided participants to think about the relationship between family and life.

In her opening remarks, the Director of CCCN Macau Miss Agnes K.Y. Wong, stated that director and writer Pete Doctor tried to express the meaning of life in an interesting and relaxing film of animation. The storyline of Souls can act as an excellent topic for analyzing, discussing various themes in philosophy, theology, Catechism, education, psychology, art, and sociology.
