The Center for Pastoral Care of Filipino Migrants organized the “Living Rosary” on Sunday, October 27 after the 4:30 PM Mass at Saint Augustine Church. This was their culminating activity for the month of October, the month of the Holy Rosary. The Legion of Mary led the prayer, guiding the participants through the meditation of the mysteries of the life of Jesus and Mary.
Members of different groups took turns praying. The Living Rosary requires sixty participants representing each Rosary bead plus one person to hold the crucifix. This method makes the prayers interactive and memorable. It allows for contemplation of the mysteries of the life of Christ in order to discover how each one can imitate Christ in their daily life.
The Living Rosary can be a life-changing experience for some. There, they begin to understand our Lady’s exhortation in Fatima: “Pray the Rosary daily.”
