In response to The Extraordinary Missionary Month, announced by Pope Francis two years ago, Catholic Diocese of Macau is holding a “Missionary Festival” this coming Sunday at Tap Seac Plaza, from 11 AM to 5 PM. Through different performances and booth games, the carnival aims to show the love of God to local Macau citizens, and hence let them know more about different Catholic parishes and communities.
The opening ceremony of the Festival is scheduled at 12 noon, presided over by His Excellency Stephen Lee, Bishop of Macau Diocese. Earlier in September, the Bishop sent a message inviting the faithful and parish members to take up their role as missionaries and invite their family and friends for attending the event.
Moreover, the diocese will also celebrate the Eucharist in front of the Mater Dei Church (Ruins of St Paul) on 19 October 2019 (Saturday) at 8 PM. The last time Mass was celebrated there was fifteen years back.
