On Sunday, July 22, the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima will host the summer concert of classical music by the IFT Chamber Music Club, Macau Police Band and Macau Ensemble Association.
The repertoire consists of music from the Carmina Burana, The King and I, Danse Bacchanale, Con Te Partiro, Yorkshire Overture, Ave Maria, First Suite in Eb (Chaconne, Intermezzo and March), Dies Irae (From Verdi’s Requiem) and Panis Angelicus.
“The concert was organized by one of our parishioners, who is an organist and loves music. He had the initiative to invite all participants, and they worked hard for a few months to prepare this event,” Our Lady of Fatima Parish Priest Fr José Ángel Castellanos, SVD, told O CLARIM.
Fr Castellanos also said that several groups come together in this event to share with Macau people music and art, the skills of each one for music, as well as friendship among them. The concert starts at 8:00 PM. Admission is free.
