The Director of Centro de Cultura e Artes Performativas Cardeal Newman de Macau (CCCN), Agnes Wong in her opening remarks said, “It was great for CCCN Macau to become a new symbol for arts and culture and to build a bridge for interaction with the community, so that the new generation of artists in arts and cultural development can have more opportunities and experience for creative inspiration and exchange.”
CCCN Macau has hosted many activities, workshops, art exhibitions, and many more over the past year with the hard work of the staff and through the brilliant vision and guidance of Agnes Wong.
Over the past year, some staff members attended the Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Summit at the United Nations University in Macau. The Summit focused on the five Ps of the SDGs: People, Prosperity, Peace, Partnership, and Planet. Since then, CCCN Macau has tried to implement some of these points into their events and the way they work within the community. Together with the five Ps and as well with the motto of “Cor Ad Cor Loquitur” (“Heart speaks to Heart”) inspired by St. John Henry Newman, CCCN has created a special bond within the community over the past year and, it is hoped, in many years to come.
