The Escola De Santa Teresa Macau held an environmental autumn picnic on 27 November and 4 December. The activity aimed to enrich the learning life of students, strengthen the communication between parents and children, let students learn about the nature, enhance their awareness of caring for the environment and of cherishing resources.
Students of the Primary school went to Hac Sá Beach Park and Seac Pai Van Urban Park for outdoor learning. Under the guidance of the teachers, students actively participated in different experimental activities, such as visiting the zoological and botanical gardens, which allowed students to explore new knowledge and discover the joy of learning on their own. Recreational and chess activities allowed students to learn to communicate, cooperate and help others in a relaxed and fun way.
Teachers and students were encouraged to use environmentally friendly tableware and voluntarily clean up the trash left behind.
The Kindergarten students also held an “Environmental Parent and Child Picnic” where K1 students went to Flora Park and K2, K3 students went to Seac Pai Van Urban Park. The school encouraged the parents to bring an adequate amount of food, to use reusable utensils and tableware in order to strengthen their awareness of environmental protection.
In addition, through the interactive group games designed by teachers, the children enjoyed working with their family members and learned to interact and share with others.
The learning activities of the autumn picnic ended safely and successfully.
