At the beginning of Advent, each parish church in Macau held a Rite of Acceptance to the Order of Catechumens. On the first week of Advent (28th November) it was held in the following places: at the Cathedral, 20 persons; St Lazarus Church, 4 persons; St Lawrence Church, 8 persons; St. Anthony Church, 12 persons, Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s Church 15 persons; St Joseph the Worker Church, 1 person.
On the second week of Advent (5th December) Our Lady of Fatíma Church, 15 persons; St Francis Xavier Church (Mong Há), 15 persons.
There will be more candidates to be accepted in January.
We request the faithful to pray for the Catechumens so that, with the grace of God, they may persevere in the journey and soon join the family of the Church.
