SJM DONATES DAILY NECESSITIES TO MACAU’S NEEDIEST

Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) announced on Wednesday, March 11, the donation of 3,000 Macau Jiayou Bags which are worth MOP1.5 million to Macau’s neediest via six local community associations, namely Macao Federation of Trade Unions, General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau, The Women’s General Association of Macau, Caritas Macau, Macau Special Olympics and Macau Association of the Hearing Impaired.

The bags will be distributed to 3,000 needy families in Macau, including solitary and vulnerable elderly, single-parent families, the chronically ill and persons with disabilities.  Each bag contains rice, noodles, oatmeal, canned food, toilet paper, masks, hand sanitizers and other daily necessities, with all items purchased from local SME vendors as a sign of SJM’s continued support at this critical time.  The activity also involves the participation of SJM staff who assist in packing the bags.  Furthermore, the SJM Volunteer Team will provide door-to-door delivery service to the elderly and other needy recipients.
