The Chinese version of DoCat, a book with practical catechesis for the youth initially published in German as a companion volume to YouCat, is available since last Wednesday, June 8, at the Claretian Publications Macau’s office, in Rua de Francisco António.
The book will be on sale at Saint Paul Bookstore, after being officially presented in Saint Lawrence’s Church after the 9:00 AM Mass next June 24. Its English version has been on sale in the same venue since last year.
“As the name suggests, it’s a ‘CATechetical’ text for the ‘YOUth.’ While the first volume simplified the Catechism of the Catholic Church to cater to the needs of the youth, DoCat has broken down the dogmas to practical solutions for the day-to-day dilemmas of the youth. The first volume was approved and recommended by Pope Benedict. The new volume is recommended by Pope Francis,” Fr Jijo Kandamkulathy, CMF, told O CLARIM.
The Chinese version is a joint publication of Claretian Publications Macau and Kuang Qi, Taipei.
