On May 12-13, the seven Macau parishes raised a total of MOP 71,944 in a charity bazaar held in local churches to support Macau Association of Parents of the Mentally Handicapped activities. Bishop Stephen Lee Bun-sang joined the charity fundraising at the Cathedral.

The sale at the churches consisted of small gifts and rosary beads made by people with intellectual disabilities, parents, and community volunteers to give those attending the Mass a chance to purchase. The purpose of this activity is to promote services for people with intellectual disabilities to the general public and demonstrate the achievements of those with intellectual disabilities.

May 13 coincided with the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima and the Ascension of Our Lord. The Macau Association of Parents of the Mentally Handicapped is a non-profit organization directed to social service for people with intellectual disabilities.
