The University of St Joseph held its 2018-2019 Community Scholarships and Fellowships Award Ceremony at the Auditório Centenário de Fátima of the Ilha Verde Campus, on 18th January, 2019. Fifty-three undergraduate students received a total of 56 scholarships and fellowships donated by different organizations and individuals. The grants amounted to a total of MOP 689,000.
Representatives from USJ’s Community Scholarships and Fellowships donors were present at the ceremony including (listed alphabetically): Alumni Association of USJ, BNY, Bank of China, CEM, CESL Asia Ltd., CPTTM, CPM – Macau Parking Company Ltd., CTM, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Henry Fok Foundation, International Ladies’ Club of Macau, Mr Kuan Vai Lam, Macao Foundation, Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Center, Sands China Ltd., Ms Sio Wai Chu, Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) and the Society of the Divine Word (SVD).
The awarding ceremony takes place annually to encourage and support students with outstanding academic performance or those with financial difficulties.
