The final journey of Rev. Fr. Jose Fu Chun , whose death, left the Catholic Diocese of Macau in deep sorrow, was a moment of prayer and gratitude for a life dedicated to faith and service. He is remembered as one with many gifts for ministry, and a beloved priest known for his deep faith and intense desire to bring people to Christ. The beloved priest was to rest on Saturday, at St. Michael’s Cemetery, following a funeral Mass at the St. Church of São Lazaro , presided by Bishop Stephen Lee.

The Rev. Fr. Jose Fu Chun of the Diocese of Macau passed away on April 24, 2025, at the Hospital of Count São Januário, at the age of 91.

2000 – Appointed Parochial Vicar of the Quasi-Parish of St. Francis Xavier, Mong-Ha
2005 – Appointed Parochial Vicar of the Parish of St. Lazarus
2014 – After retirement, he continued to provide assistance to the pastoral activities in the São Lazaro Parish.
Father Fu was a dedicated priest and highly respected by the faithful. Practice his sacramental ministry with diligence and fidelity, especially when visiting families and the sick.
Her funeral is set for Saturday morning, May 10th. The body will be transferred at 9 o’clock to the Church of São Lazaro, where there will be an Exequial Mass, presided by D. Stephen Lee, at 11am, after which he will proceed to St Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
