The Missionary of Charity sisters celebrated the Feast of Saint Teresa of Calcutta (widely known as Mother Teresa) on Sunday, 9th of September at 9:30 AM at the Casa das Irmãs Missionárias da Caridade, Ilha Verde. The Holy Eucharist was presided by Fr Joseph Chow Pak Fai. In his homily, he praised the works and deeds that Mother Teresa had offered throughout her life, and reminded the participants to learn from Mother Teresa’s attitudes of charity and love for one another.
The sisters gathered about a hundred participants to share their joys and pay their respects to Mother Teresa. After the Mass, several cultural events were also presented, such as dancing and singing. A simple meal was also served and shared afterward with all participants.
This event also got the support in the singing of the liturgical songs as well as to provide assistance from St Theresa Choir (聖德肋撒歌詠團) of the St Lazarus Parish. The sisters thank all supporters who pray and support their mission, both anonymously and spiritually.
