Dear Parish Priests,
“I am close to the Church in Kerala which is doing all it can to bring relief to the population. Let us join in prayer for those who have lost their lives and for all who are suffering because of this terrible calamity.” (Pope Francis, Angelus, 19 August 2018)
These days we have been following the tragedy in Kerala, India, caused by a calamitous rainfall which has hurt or killed many victims. In solidarity with and as a sign of Christian compassion for those affected by the flood, the Bishop of Macau announces the following:
On August 26 (Sunday) in all Masses, a second collection should be taken as a concrete sign of solidarity with the victims. The donation will be sent to the affected area by the Procuration Office of the Paço Episcopal.
