O CLARIM is going to release the English and Chinese 2nd edition of History of Salvation – Time of Israel (first volume) during the 29th Hong Kong Book Fair, to be run on July 18-24.
“The idea of coming out with a new edition arose because the first edition has practically been sold out,” O CLARIM Director Fr José Mario Mandía said, adding, “We had received favorable comments, especially from teachers of catechism who use the book not only in Macau but also in Hong Kong and places such as America and Africa.”
Moreover, regarding “those who are interested in learning more about the Old Testament story and its relation to the New Testament,” he mentioned they “have found the book a useful introduction to a more serious and thorough study of Scripture.”
“In the first book”, Graphic Designer Oswald Vas said, “we had the idea of making it in accordion style, where you can open an entire book and have all the pages where you could see the timeline from the beginning to the end. Nevertheless, it was difficult to handle it.”
The convention style of making a book was now adopted. “The content is more or less the same, the texts are more refined and we are able to add a few pages of the Psalms and the maps,” he stated.
