Filipino Christmas Party
To extend gratitude and show appreciation for all Filipino Migrants who continuously show devotions and undying faith, bringing the churches here in Macau to life, the Catholic Pastoral Center paid tribute by throwing a big and memorable event for Filipinos called “Magkasama tayo sa kwento ng Pasko.”
Since Christmas is just around the corner, and Filipinos are known to be hospitable and family-oriented, the SOLT Fathers from the Catholic Pastoral Center led by Father Andy Vergara, Father Art Balana Jr., Father Jay Gapayao, and Father Andrew de Vera organized a Christmas party, gathering more than 200 attendees coming from different Filipino communities and organizations.
The Christmas Party for Filipino Migrants held last December 13, 2015, started with a morning Holy Eucharist at San Augustine Church, followed by fellowship and a program presentation at St Joseph Auditorium where the World Day of Migrants is usually held.
There were presentations of songs and dances from different Pastoral Ministries and other Catholic Charismatic Communities and organizations. Everyone enjoyed the food and the gifts. The attitude of hospitality and bayanihan and of generosity assured a fitting celebration of the true essence of the Christmas season within God’s loving community.
